Greetings, Earthlings. It’s been a long week. What are you cooking this weekend? I (MaryKate) am thinking about onion jam (and the original onion oxtail jam sounds amazing) and potato tacos with brussels sprouts on quinoa tortillas. Yum. Those would be good with onion jam, too, right? I think this will also be the week to bring back Breakfast Chili.

So, meanwhile back in NH, the end of the apple apocalypse is in sight. I have a little less than a 12 quart bucket left to deal with. Maybe next week for fun, I’ll tally the number of jars I canned with apples in them, but I’m too tired. While this isn’t a canning recipe, I probably will have some apples left over after I do my last preservation product, and I thought this Apple and Caramelized Onion Chutney sounded lovely.  Also, this Apple Jalapeno Mustard sounds pretty good, and I think I’d only have to sub out the honey. I swear, by next week I’ll be off the apple thing.
