This isn’t food allergy related, but I (Denise) kinda think this Strip Generator would be fun to play with. Maybe I’ll get motivated and do a comic strip based on our blog, or our misadventures and “experiments” in the name of safe good food, and being able to use safe personal care and cleaning products. Because I don’t already have enough to do, haha!
And just to show the pervasiveness of corn, here’s an article showing 18 Surprising Everyday Items Made with Corn. I think Number 5 is the one that annoys me the most, and Number 7 was new to me.
Denise’s curry earlier this week has left me thinking about curry ever since. This green bean curry sounds like a different take, first off (Sri Lankan curry!) and a great way to use green beans as they come in fresh.
Oh, wow, does this sound good — vegan gluten-free polenta lasagna? Yes, please. And given that this uses a pre-made polenta log and Daiya slices, it’s also looks really easy. I am thinking that, while the cheese may still be a problem for those with corn issues, polenta made from rice grits or millet might make a pretty good substitute, no? We did millet polenta on the blog before, but it was sweet — using the same recipe without the sweetness (and blueberries) might work.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
