Fall on Denise's front lawn
Fall on Denise’s front lawn

I (Denise) harvested a fair amount of daikon radish from the garden and I’ve been looking for things to do with it. If I switch out the corn starch for tapioca, I’m pretty sure I could make these Daikon Radish Cakes.  And they look yummy.

I’d have to do a few substitutions on this recipe for Cranberry Orange Clafoutis but I think it might be worth a shot to try to make it gluten-free, and sub out the almond milk (allergic to almonds). Maybe for a Thanksgiving treat. I could probably even use apples.

MaryKate’s LATE additions:

This Cannellini bean soup is on my menu plan for this weekend because we have everything we need for it already in the house.

Also, here’s a quinoa tutorial. If you’ve ever had hard, crunchy quinoa, that’s not how it’s supposed to be — properly cooked quinoa is fluffy and quite good.

Have a great weekend everyone!
