Since it’s Keep the Vampires Away month here at the blog, and since I (Denise) may have gone all crazy with how much garlic I planted this fall, I found this post on making your own garlic powder that I might need.   Also, this Roasted Garlic dressing looks amazing for salads, although I’d have to make some minor tweaks to make it safe for me. 

I’ve got nothing on garlic, but I did find a new, safe-for-me, local-ish bread in Happy Campers. I got the buckwheat molasses, despite some reservations about buckwheat being an overpowering flavor. I like this — very hearty and nutty. If you’re on the west coast (they’re based out of Portland, OR) and this looks safe for you, see if you can find some.

Also, while I am totally going to ignore the low-carb health claims in this post (I run on carbs), this recipe for “egg roll filling” as a meal sounds delicious and needs relatively little alteration. It also gets around that sticky issue of egg roll wrappers being really not allergy-friendly, and frying being a messy, time-consuming pain.
