I can’t believe it’s going to be Friday again so soon. I (Denise) almost forgot about the Friday post.
I found this interesting study about the case of a case of a 46-year-old male patient who – for the first time in his life – had two episodes of oral allergic syndrome upon kiwi consumption after having received myeloablative hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (or in other less complicated words, a type of bone marrow transplant) from his kiwi-allergic sister.
This is food related, but since Mary Kate and I have some historical interests, I found this article about a cookbook collector who has been saving American culinary history for 50 years interesting. I find it fascinating to go through old cookbooks, and honestly, sometimes the recipes are much safer for me than those available today.
My friend Corinne’s blog is not allergy-friendly all the time, but she made this brussels sprouts, quinoa, and cranberry dish that sounds great and doesn’t need rewriting.
And are you following Kaila’s travels around Australia? She’s found a gluten-free, allergy-friendly place serving Australian fish and chips from a dedicated fryer in Brisbane. Sounds amazing to me.
Hope you all have a great week!
